Dear fellow Chemometricians,
We’ve now opened the call for nominations for the 2023 recipient of the Herman Wold gold medal. It will be awarded to an individual who has contributed significantly to the development and proliferation of Chemometrics. Please note that Chemometrics also includes its synonyms AI/Machine Learning, Multivariate Data Analysis, and related data‐driven life science approaches “in the spirit of Herman Wold”. Herman was a creative individual who combined practical usability with theoretical fundament on a deep but unremarkable way. Hence, versatility and depth, theory and practical use are two combinations expected of the Herman Wold gold medal recipient.
We look forward to your nominations. They should be supported by at least one other person knowledgeable in the field.
